Welcome

Thank you for taking the time to visit. We know how many demands there are on people supporting those living with dementia, so we've brought together a short introduction and a selection of practical resources that you are welcome to explore at your own pace.

Everything we create is designed to help translate good dementia care principles into everyday interactions, building confidence and creating more opportunities for meaningful connection.
Why Timeless Presents Exists We are a mission-led social enterprise dedicated to improving the everyday lives of people affected by dementia. Our work is built on a simple belief: even as dementia progresses, people do not stop trying to understand the world around them or needing meaningful human connection. Too often, carers, volunteers and even experienced professionals understand the principles of good dementia care but are left wondering how to apply them in everyday interactions, particularly in the later stages of the condition. Our aim is to bridge that gap. We create practical resources and accessible books that help translate dementia care principles into everyday practice, building confidence and supporting meaningful engagement in care homes, hospitals and people's own homes. Everything we produce is shaped by lived experience, informed by research and designed to be practical, dignified and ready to use.
Our Story Timeless Presents grew from our own family's experience of supporting Sharon's father through seventeen years of Alzheimer's disease. During that time we discovered that connection often remained possible long after conversation had become difficult. Those experiences challenged many of the assumptions we encountered about later-stage dementia and inspired us to develop resources that help others find those moments of connection too.

More Than an Activity At first glance, our products may look like familiar activities. They are deliberately designed that way. Familiarity reduces uncertainty and helps people know what to do without lengthy explanation. Their real purpose, however, is not simply to occupy time or encourage completion. Each resource is designed to support confidence, engagement and shared interaction, creating opportunities for connection even when conversation has become difficult. Every design decision, from the choice of images to the level of challenge and accompanying guidance, is intended to help carers, volunteers and families focus on the person rather than the task. The activity is simply the bridge. The destination is meaningful human connection.

How Our Resources Can Help Our resources have been developed to support the everyday reality of dementia care, particularly in the later stages where meaningful engagement can become increasingly difficult. They are designed to help carers, volunteers and professionals: *build confidence when supporting people living with dementia *encourage meaningful engagement without pressure to achieve a particular outcome *create opportunities for shared attention and connection *provide activities that feel familiar, adult and dignified *support staff who may have little or no specialist dementia training Whether used in a care home, hospital, day service or family home, the aim is always the same: to make positive interactions easier and more achievable.
