Wooden Bead Necklace

Available to buy individually or select as part of a Custom Curiosity Box.

A necklace made from a series of small wooden beads. It can be worn as an accessory or held and explored by moving the beads gently through the fingers, offering repeated shapes and a natural wooden texture to feel. The repeated beads may also lend themselves to quiet reflection, meditation or personal prayer.

Bead size: approximately 6 mm, 60 cm long

Each item has been chosen with later-stage dementia particularly in mind, for qualities that may make it discoverable and invite interest, such as its texture, colour, familiarity, movement or sound. Everyone is different, so please consider the individual’s interests, abilities, preferences and circumstances when deciding whether an item is suitable, including whether support or supervision may be appropriate.
