Each item has been chosen with later-stage dementia particularly in mind, for qualities that may make it discoverable and invite interest, such as its texture, colour, familiarity, movement or sound. Everyone is different, so please consider the individual’s interests, abilities, preferences and circumstances when deciding whether an item is suitable, including whether support or supervision may be appropriate.

Please note that the Custom Curiosity Box and its optional contents have not been assessed or accredited by the Dementia Services Development Centre (DSDC).
