Large Wooden Dice

Available to buy individually or select as part of a Custom Curiosity Box.

A large wooden dice with a familiar shape and clearly marked numbered faces. It can be held, rolled and turned, offering weight, movement and sound to explore. The different numbers may also invite counting, recognition or a simple shared game, without any need for fixed rules.

Size: approximately 3 × 3 cm

Each item has been chosen with later-stage dementia particularly in mind, for qualities that may make it discoverable and invite interest, such as its texture, colour, familiarity, movement or sound. Everyone is different, so please consider the individual’s interests, abilities, preferences and circumstances when deciding whether an item is suitable, including whether support or supervision may be appropriate.

Please note that the Custom Curiosity Box and its optional contents have not been assessed or accredited by the Dementia Services Development Centre (DSDC).
